Who we are
JCA Studios is the trading name of a sole trader providing architectural design and planning services in London. We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy.

What we collect
When you use our contact form or design cost calculator, we collect:
- your name and email address
- your phone number, if you choose to give it
- the address or postcode of your property
- details of your project, such as the type of property, the work you're planning and when you'd like to start
- anything else you tell us in your message
We don't use analytics or advertising cookies on this website.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and send you a copy of your estimate.
- To prepare a quote and, if you go ahead, to deliver our services.
- To keep records we need for accounting and legal purposes.
We don't sell your information or use it for marketing without your permission.
Our legal basis
We use your information to take steps you've asked for before entering into a contract with us (such as preparing a quote), to perform our contract with you, and where necessary for our legitimate interest in running and improving our business. We keep records where the law requires it.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run this website and our business:
- FormSubmit, which delivers the messages you send through our forms to our inbox.
- Our email provider, which stores our correspondence with you.
- Our website hosting provider.
- Google Fonts, which provides the typefaces on this website. When the page loads, your browser connects to Google, which receives your IP address.
Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards required by UK data protection law. We may also share information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
If you make an enquiry but don't become a client, we keep your information for up to two years and then delete it. If you become a client, we keep project and financial records for six years after the project ends, as required for tax and legal purposes.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to ask us to transfer it to you or another organisation. To make a request, email info@jcastudios.co.uk. We'll respond within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please contact us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
